Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, stars of the popular 2003 comedy Freaky Friday, have begun work on a sequel, it has been revealed thanks to the first behind-the-scenes footage from the set of the film. The actresses are sitting on the steps of their trailers, with their nameplates painted on the doors. Disney has yet to share plot details for Freaky Friday 2, but has confirmed that the comedy will be released theatrically in 2025, thus refuting rumours that the sequel is being filmed exclusively for Disney+. Recall that the worldwide box office receipts of the original film totalled $160 million, and the studio officially announced its intention to film a sequel in 2023.
